Handsome here, and Mom's at it again. She's having a giveaway and on a holiday week-end. Pffttt, I think she's crazy but she asked me to announce it to you so here goes nothing. Ahem... and I hope you understand rottweiler speak.
It's a purdy little yellow and white checked apron with black cross stitching and if you don't want to wear it it still looks exceptional hanging around your kitchen. And just for good measure she's adding into the gift box a bar of peppermint soap from Brambleberry Farms and a cool bird hook for your bathroom wall that says 'Faith'. Would look great in your laundry room too!
May ya'll have a fun weed-end at home with your cats and dogs as they wait for burgers to accidentally slip off the grill and into their reach.
Well, at least that's what my plans are...
Bye now. See you Monday morning when Mom reads your comments and draws the winner!

What a beautifully smocked apron. Did your mom do that herself. I love the colors of the soap and bird. I will tell your mom you did a good job.
It all sounds great to me. I just love the birdie and I love aprons,
they are one of my new favorites.
I don't cook too often but they look great on my wall and my kitchen is yellow! Have a great
4th of July weekend. God Bless.
what a lovely gingham apron ms. di.
and thank handsome for posting about it. he did pretty darn good ^..^
hugs from becky the kitten
Love the dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That apron totally reminds me of the ones Mom used to wear. Except she hung it on a nail, and whenever she wore the apron, she had a flyswatter in her hand.
I should have saved that little tidbit for my own blog, huh?
The apron brings back memories. I can't remember my grandma at home without her home-made apron. When her aprons were too worn to to wear, they were recycled into the rag bag. Nothing was wasted. Maybe we need to start a bring back the apron movement.
That bird-shaped soap is lovely!
Hook, I meant bird-shaped hook.
Tuesday....i thinking i needed an apron.....and then thought about making one.....yikes!! This one is beautiful and my kitchen is "cornflower yellow" .... and i also need the hook to hang the apron and the soap to relax!!
Enjoy.....LindaMay
ps....thanks Handsome
Handsome, tell mommy to pick me, pick me!!! And those are the cutest pictures of you! Hope you get the hamburger :D
Love that Faith hook. My grandma always wore an apron, I love them just for that reason.
I love aprons. I hope you pick me!
I love the comment. The yellow would match my kitchen perfectly. It reminds me so much of my grandmother in the kitchen when I was growing up. Thanks for sharing.
The give-away items are really wonderful! Thank you for hanging out your flag on the banner photo!
Have a terrific Fourth of July holiday weekend, the weather will be great!

If I wear the apron does that mean i have to COOK for God's sake?
And if that's the Bluebird of Happiness - I WANT IT!!!
xoxox
What a beautiful prize! That apron would make a very pretty decoration in the kitchen with some rearranging. Then again, who wants to leave something so pretty as decor when it's obviously meant to be used.
Beautiful pix again... and Handsome looks so. well, Handsome peeking over his own shoulder like that.
I can tell the good life agree's with Handsome. He's never looked better!
Personally I think HE would look pretty darned cute in the yellow apron ; )

Hey there. Love the new header! I did one too today but am loving yours.
I needs me that apron. So am crossing my fingers that you choose my number.
I love that aprons are making a come back. This morning mine was a lifesaver carring in several pounds of tomatos from the garden. Love this one. Mine is not as pretty!
The bird hook is very sweet and I hope to be painting my kitchen a very soft buttery yellow in the near future. It's one of the few rooms we haven't painted as yet.
Your helper did a great blog post for you as well!
I agree about the header, beautiful.
Please enter me in the Giveaway! Happy 4th to the family :)
How have I not been to your blog before today? We have a lot of the same bloggy friends I think!! Bella Della is like a sister to me and Kate...I love me some Kate! Great blog and best believe I will be back lots!!!
Great giveaway...That hook is just the cutest and the apron...oh.my.
Happy Independence Day, Handsome to you and yours. :-)
Dear Handsome,
My mom would really love to have that apron. She's kind of old-fashioned that way (but don't tell anybody), and though you may not care for my kind of feline persuasion, I'm here to tell you, she loves dogs. So please pull some strings for my mom.
Meow,
Matilda
I hope this hasn't gone through three times...

Hello Beautiful Lady! Love your header. Long time not see...my bad...hope all is well and `good for you.

Hi Di, The Blue Ridge Gal ! Long time, no see. BUT, thanks for always stopping by even though you've not heard from me in such a long, long time.
Aprons ! What can I say? My mom and both grandmas always wore aprons. Even though I didn't carry on that tradition, my oldest daughter has. She was just old enough to remember seeing them in the kitchen with hand-made aprons on, and those memories are such good ones, she always wears one when she cooks. I was able to find many of those old aprons and present them to her for a wedding gift. Some are the ones that tie around the waist...some have bibs. Some have stains. Some have holes. But no matter the condition, when she wears them, she is in the hands of 3 wonderful women. I have bought her a few that seemed to fit nicely in a very ecletic collection.
Please enter my name in the drawing !
That is a beautiful apron and I'm so envious of those who have that talent for creating masterpieces like this one.
I have a small collection of vintage aprons that I could never bring myself to actually use and have always had a love of aprons for so many reasons. They hold so many warm and fuzzy memories. But I am now craving an apron that I could actually use and this one is oh so sweet.
I do so enjoy living vicariously through your blog.
I love aprons! I've tagged you with an honest scrap award - if you would like to play along please check out my blog! Hope you play along!.....Jo
Who could resist a mug like that? I am in love with him :) and the apron is terrific too. I am amazed by smocking, it is arcane... but cool!
