Today I'm just going to post photos. These were all taken of and around Abbott Lake at the Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. There is a Parkway entrance six miles from our front door so from time to time we take a drive up there just to get away for an afternoon.

This area is world famous and photographers flock here for the views this time of the year. It's lovely year round but October and the peak season of the change in foliage color brings out all the photos buffs. Like me!

There is a small lodge and a restaurant on the lake and a pathway that you can walk all the way around Abbott Lake which is what we chose to do.

Enjoy the rest of the photos!

Actually this one is not at the lake but rather Pine Tree Overlook prior to arriving at the lake... BUT, this is on the Parkway.

Thanks for peeking at my week-end photos... Hope you enjoyed at least one or two.
P.S. These photos are all straight out of camera with no enhancements other than adding my name to them. It was a great day for photography on the Ridge!
