November Holiday

Scrrreeeeches on the brakes as the deer decide to cross our road.

Quite a typical November day sighting. When all else is gray at least nature gives us beautiful creatures to mystify and entertain our eyes.

They sneak back into the woods on the other side of the road trying to avoid any hunters who are out and about. Don't they blend into the trees nicely?

Then it's indoors for me on this chilly day for a tasty cup of chai to warm my soul.

The Thanksgiving table is set for Hubby and I. Just the two of us sharing a romantic and much loved annual serving of his turkey.

Oh, so good.... and we are thankful to be able to once again enjoy this annual feast of turkey, potatoes, green bean casserole, dressing, deviled eggs, biscuits and cranberry sauce. YUMMO!! Very happy taste buds..... but that was yesterday.

Your dinner looks very yummy. Were those toothpicks in the deviled eggs? Does that work well for transporting them to the plate?

I was sitting outside on the front porch today in my pajamas and no coat, in the sunshine and totally protected from the wind, talking to my MIL just an hour away in NJ who told me it was freezing there! And here I was with no coat.
Well, the weather caught up to us and it's pretty chilly out there now. But we didn't have hail.

Di that plate of food looks delicious! It makes me want to have Thanksgiving dinner all over again!

It's cold here but not cold enough to snow or ice ... yet. We've been overcast for several days now. Hopefully tomorrow we'll finally see the sun!

It has been beautiful and almost warm here in Western Oklahoma since Tuesday. Today the weather turned a nasty cold, wet and windy. Glad we got all the meals, the decorating and cleaning over before the winter storm hit. Those deer can cause some real problems if you hit them - experience talking here.
