Snuggle Up, Buttercup

Last year I mentioned a gift idea to you..... an Ibena blanket. No, I have no affiliation with anyone who sells these blanket and no on has ever given me one other than my sista. But I wanted to run these wonderful blankets past you again so here goes.

I always keep at least two of these blankets tucked away inside a hassock in our family room and we as well as house guests have always loved and used them. Yep, even during the summer months when the A/C kicks on and a chill hits your naked legs or just sun burned shoulders it can be a bit much.... especially for those of us with thin blood which has haunted me all my life. If not in the middle of a stellar, mid-life hot flash there's a pretty good chance I'm cold.

This past week-end Hubby spent an inordinate amount of time on the sofa suffering with hives and in a Benadryl induced stupor sliding in and out of a state of napsville. He grabbed a blankie and there he lay beneath it for hours and hours and.... well, you get the picture. BTW, he's feeling much better today and even zipped off to the office this morning.. YAY!!

The weather in 2009 has held nothing but rain and cold for us since last April... yes, it still continues and for this reason I'm betting it will be a VERY cold winter nuttin' but bucket load after bucket load of snow dumped upon us. I'm thinking I'm very happy to have lots of these blankets around the house for when the power goes out during one of our infamous ice storms.

They make great gifts so here's a linky poo for yooo!

Just an FYI..... these blankets, the affordable ones are becoming more difficult to find each year and the Ibena prices on the new patterns have sky-rocketed in price so if you are interested you may want to get one or two this year before all patterns are very expensive.
