This blog is for fun and enlightenment. I try not to be too crass, too opinionated, too critical or too political as some of these things tend to drive new and old friends away. BUT, I do ask that you be open-minded and understanding in that we are all different and unique human beings who sometimes make the mistake of saying things before we think them through. Live well, laugh often, love much, and by all means, come back soon.

Waaaaaaa

And so at dinner Thursday evening, where a flicked a couple chunks of dried food the previous diner had left for me off the placemat, we discussed our plan for Friday. First though we would attempt to get a good nights sleep on the 'Heavenly Beds' so we would be good to go to the Inner Harbor prior to leaving town. I tell you what, our dogs sleep on better beds than we had at the Westin. Mind if I borrow yours to take along on our next trip, Missy? I promise to leave all the baby toys at home with you. :-))

Friday morning arrived after flip flopping back and forth on the stinkin' bed all night and guess what?? Aww, shit... just another day on our lousy trip. Hubby woke up with a frozen muscle in his back and could barely get out of bed let alone walk to the crapper and shower, and there was no way he would be able to walk around the Inner Harbor and so another day of fun was scrapped.

And so we just said, "FUKITOL", hobbled his ass and mine back into the truck and headed for home. I took a bunch of these, 'Where In The World is Waldo' type photos from our moving vehicle as we headed out of the Baltimore area towards home.

See, here we go, heading West on 70 to catch the I-81 south so we don't have to continue our nightmare trip by subjecting ourselves to the early morning Beltway rush hour in D.C. Let's go West Dear, then south and head our asses home. I'm tired of this trip to nowhere to do nothing but throw our money at an expensive hotel room with beds that tie our backs in knots. They literally crippled Hubby's back. (I'm typing this Sunday morning and he still walks bent over)

See..... See.... no photos of the area as proof we actually were in Baltimore other than this sign. Sorry for the spots on the photo from our dirty windshield, but trust me, I was in no mood to be cleaning the glass just to get this sorry ass photo.

The drive home was uneventful. I drove, he sucked down Motrin. 'Nuf said. I was glad to see Virginia once again and it's autumn blue skies.

Lights out on this trip. Lights out. Better luck next time Blue Ridge Gal.

Wow. That trip really sucked. Sorry you didn't get to make it to the Inner Harbor. But now you have an excuse for a road trip...

Sometimes, for some crazy odd reason, a trip-gone-bad trip is often the one most talked about later on! Heh!

You can talk about all the things you did NOT do and all the things you WILL do the next time you go back.

Hope everyone is feeling better!

Take care -- but I did sort of enjoy the photos of the interstate and highway signs. Brought back memories of when we were there in May of 1991 and drove to Ocean Beach.

From there we drove down to Assateague Island -- home of the Misty pony / horse book(s) our daughter loved so much.

I enjoyed that island a lot and have a picture of our daughter petting a wild pony -- right below a HUGE sign that says touching the ponies is a federal crime! Heh!!

Oops.... I meant to type in Ocean City, Maryland. If you know me, you soon learn to figure out what I mean and not what I say!
