Our rottie, Handsome, tends to cry when he gets tired and it takes him a while to 'give it up' for the evening and go to sleep. Soooo, sometimes we have to raise our voices and tell him, "GO TO SLEEP", which he does. He's just such a baby! Sometimes he'll show his frustration and open his mouth like he wants to say something. This is one of the reasons we call him our cartoon dog. He's so stinkin' funny.
I caught him with his mouth open in an attempt to argue with me so I snapped his photo. That'll teach him!
So cute!!! I have to open our bedroom door for Bently (our youngest for legged child) and he will go in there and go to bed for the evening. It's warm in the rest of the house but in our room it's cool because we keep a window open...so the dogs love sleeping in there and don't really settle for the night until we open that door and let them in...hahahaha...have a great day!! Hugs from Norway :-)
My first border collie wouldn't go to bed (she slept in the shower) until one of us asked, "Abby, isn't it time for you to go to bed?" Then she'd go to the shower and curl up.
Telling her to go to bed didn't work. She had to be asked.
I'm an empty-nester, stay at home housewife happily committed to my husband and my family. Raised in the midwest, then a few decades in Arizona, now living in the fabulous Blue Ridge Mountains of Botetourt County in Roanoke, Virginia, amidst countless squirrels, groundhogs and frolicking deer. I started this blog in 2008 hoping to get rich off of large companies wishing to advertise here. Now that it's pretty obvious that's not going to happen instead I just show you photos of the junk around my house and of the area where I live. I adore photography, flea markets, farmer's markets, junk shops, chai latte coffee, and breezes flowing through an open window on a cool, October day.
Oh, and I slurp when I drink my coffee and design free headers for nice people. P.S. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit
the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CRAP, SHE'S UP"!

Just like our children, they're so precious when they are sleeping. :-)
