I've been seeing a TON of photos in the blogging world of late of a certain blogger and noticed that I did not like her jewelry. It made her look so 1990's style-wise and it didn't suit her personality or her age, it..... well, it just dang well made her look old. And a black, shiny lame' jacket??? To be perfectly honest I think one of her great aunts gave it to her and she probably just felt as though she owed it to the old bag to wear it.
I generally wear just one necklace. Not always what others would choose, but at least I TRY to choose something that suits my personality... and SILVER! Not that old tired gold that we all wore in the 80's or 90's. The little cute 14kt gold thingies with a favorite 14kt gold seashell or #1 Mom charm.... you know the one's. They are sooooo OUT! Oh, and then there were also the tennis bracelets. UGH... I have one at the bottom of my jewelry box and there it shall stay. (but thanks, Hubby... I really did like it at the time)

Perhaps she could have done a threesome... a trio of baubles around her neck. But, puhleeeze.... GOLD BE GONE!!

I've got five or six I could have loaned her had she just called me. No, really.... I know she's a big wig blogger, but I'm getting up there in hits too, like 50 or 70 a day!!! and well, hey, she could have called me if she was confused about cool jewelry these days.

Mine are all so beautiful. Sometimes I just can't make up my mind which one goes with my outfit so I wear all of them, ALWAYS leaving the tacky gold one at the bottom of the box.
I'm ready for my cover shot now. Vogue? Is that you calling. Better Homes and Gardens, People Magazine? COME ON!! I said I'm ready for my cover shot now for my 'Blue Ridge Gal's Recipe To The Perfect Look Fine Jewelry Book' which I'll be touring the country with as soon as it comes out next year.
Autographs?? But of course.

Such a cute post, Di...but I cannot figure out which blogger you are talking about...I hate that! Drives me crazy! Hmmmm...
Nope not a clue.
Some people can pull off big jewelry, but I can't. Gold. I would turn it in for cash, but they were gifts, after all.
I wonder what my kids will do with my gold. Just thinkin' out loud.
I want a signed copy of your book. That ok? :)
BIG hug!!
Mona
Di, you are such a mess! You were so top heavy in that last photo that I am surprised you could stand upright! Hehehehe.....Love the layered look. Would you come to Oklahoma and help me pick out jewelry?
