It's an old tradition for us as well as many American families to send out Christmas or Holiday cards, and whatever you want to call them. The point is that this annual card in many cases calls for a family photo to be taken either as the front of the card or as an insert. It's one of the things I love about the Season, receiving cards from friends and family across the country.
We are such a family. We try to send a photo every December come heck or high water. They haven't always been the 'perfect' photo but danged if we don't try, er... I mean... I TRY. Hubby is generally a bit reluctant to join in, but in the end he DOES give in to my begging request to participate.
A great deal of consideration goes into the photo each year as to which one in a 'series' of photos should be the the one to represent US. Hubby has a little say so, but not much since I am the almighty photo taker, printer and general Christmas card putter-togetherer in the house.
So, tell me..... I've been mulling over which one in this year's series should be the photo on the front of our card..... but something about this one says it just won't make the cut. Can you tell me what the problem with this photo is? Hmmmm.

I would say the hot air balloon is a tad out of place for winter.....but you also don't have your puppies in the pic...shame on you.
That's nice :) We don't have a habit of sending photos in Slovenia. We just send a Christmas card. I guess it makes more sense in the US where family members live so far apart. :)
I usually make holidays cards myself so they look home made and lack perfection. Well that's the way I like them to be. :) I'll post some photos of my cards in the next few days too. :)
