Drip Drop. It's raining this morning.
I entered my office and when I sat down noticed that my desk was exactly as I had left it late last night. I started printing our photos and inserting into the corny looking holders which I dig through store bins for every year at this time. I'm not sure why someone can't market one that's a bit more becoming, but *shrugs* I seem to fall for the crappy corny ones year after year anyway. They just get looked at a time or two and end up in a landfill somewhere anyway so really, why so much effort, Di?
The bags of crap gifts still await my attention in the corner of the room shouting, "Have a giveaway. Have a giveaway." But this morning's pancakes still warm in my tummy and the drip drop sound of the rain outside say, "Have a nap. Have a nap." So at this point it's a stand-off. But that pretty scarf at the top of the heap misses being wrapped around some luck blogger's neck. *grins*
Bubble wrap, a pillow in need of repair, magazines with recipes I truly have intentions of making one day and a curtain panel for kitchen chair covers have given up and simply stick their tongues out at me every time I walk by. They're sick of my procrastinating ways.
Oh. And I won't even tell you what the pumpkin that's still sitting on my front porch said to all the other gourds out there about me. But I think they may be planning a pumpkin seed vomit attempt on the steps if I don't remove them from the premises by Christmas Eve. "Okay, Okay little pumpkie poos. Today's the day", I promise.
So much too do, so little computer time to spend.
Tick Tock it's almost Christmas.
AND, for those of you who read all the way to the bottom of this post, just say the word "SCARF" somewhere in your comment and you will be registered for the giveaway. Contest will close Tuesday night promptly at 9 PM Eastern Time. Good Luck!! Everyone can enter.... no restrictions apply.
And for those of you who are too lazy, inexperienced, or just a prima donna type and don't wish to enlarge the scarf photo to take a closer look, well... here ya go. An up close and personal image just for all the old eyeballs in the crowd.
GOOD LUCK!!

Before I go to the kitchen to scarf down something else to eat with my next cup of coffee, I just thought I'd comment about the great computer you have on your desk.
To really give scarf the mention it deserves, I'll quote this definition from http://www.etymonline.com:
"strip of cloth," 1555, "a band worn across the body or over the shoulders," probably from O.N.Fr. escarpe "sash, sling," which probably is identical with O.Fr. escherpe "pilgrim's purse suspended from the neck," perhaps from Frank. *skirpja, from a Gmc. source (cf. O.N. skreppa "small bag, wallet, satchel"), or from M.L. scirpa "little bag woven of rushes," from L. scirpus "rush, bulrush," of unknown origin. As a cold-weather covering for the neck, first recorded 1844. Plural form scarfs began to yield to scarves early 18c., on model of half/halves, etc.
I love your monkey tree but I think it might look better with a scarf. :-)
I'm freezing and about to take my afternoon nap, but it would be better if I had a beautiful scarf!
If I had a scarf right now, I would tie it around my cranky butt husband's head, tightly into his mouth so he could not complain one more time.
Whew. I feel better now.
Thanks.
I've already won one of your beautiful scarves, so good luck to the future winner.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I came right over to yours and scarfed down every word of this post plus more!
I can't compete with Becky. She has scarfed up all the comment space! ;-) But I do love a beautiful scarf such as the scarf you have in the picture, and which scarf would certainly look fabulous around my neck while I scarf up my Christmas dinner.
Does repetition count extra?
Look like our Christmas spirit is about on an evil keel...grey...I can't seem to get past the grey but you're at least decorating...love that little sock monkey tree!!! scarf, scarf, scarf:-)
LOVE the scarf! But more than that, I am freaking out over the sock monkeys on your tree! I LOVE THEM!
*sigh*
I needed a grin today. I didn't think I'd find it over sock monkey tree ornaments, but thank you nonetheless!
I hear you about the procrastinating... parties are getting me down! And I'm not going to say that 5 letter word because well... this hot flashing lady doesn't do carfes!
So did you rescue the pumpkins? Really now, pumpkins clash with Christmas decorations! There's a house down the street that has all their Christmas stuff out in the yard, and still has a small pumpkin display among the Christmas, it's driving me crazy,lol...please remove the pumpkins!
Was there a SCRAF in that picture....maybe next time i should put on my glasses before i read your post!!....i miss sooooo much this way!
Enjoy.....LindaMay
Hmmm...I think this is my first visit here, and already I feel at home. I've been battling piles of stuff all week, trying to make room for decorations. Can't decorate dirt, my mother always said. Of course, she also mad us put out a fresh dresser scarf on each chest of drawers too.
(Oh, and should you pick me, send the scarf to BlueRidge Boomer. I'd hate to see her lose her chance because she made a spelling error).
I think that a scarf on a pumpkin would look pretty cool, maybe along with a santa hat.
I'm off now to scarf down some fudge. Like I really need it.
A sock monkey tree? I love it! You just gave me an idea for a post. =)
scarf, scarf, scarf, scaaaarrrrfffff, scarf.
Pretty please let it be me!!

I would love to wear that SCARF around my neck.....*hint hint*.
LOL~~~ you crack me up! Nothing beats a nap after some tummy filling flap jacks!!! BTW, that scarf is fabulous and I would wear it all of the time - brown is one of my favorite colors.
Sending a smile your way,
becky
