With the passing of the years I've now reached a point in life where I enjoy simplifying the holidays, mostly the holiday decorating process. But just because it's simple doesn't mean it can't still be fun to look at.
Last year the tree sat on a small drop leaf table in the corner of our family room. Grant it, it's not a tree that one oohs and aahs over when they come to visit, but it does bring a smile to the face of many.
I came across these sweet sock monkeys to hang from the branches.
This year the same pre-lit small tree with the same sock monkeys sits on the sofa table just behind the family room sofa making it visible from the kitchen cooking area, the dinette area as well as from the family room.
It provided the perfect backdrop when we sat on the sofa this past week-end for our annual Christmas card photo.
It's small, simple, sweet, and I adore the sock monkeys. I think I'll use it next year too.
Don't forget to check out my scarf giveaway. It ends tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 9pm Eastern Time.

Those little sock monkeys make me smile!
That is so adorable!
I love sock monkeys. Putting them on your tree is a great idea. We have one that was given to hubby when he was born. It sits on the window sill in our office.

The sock monkey tree is so CUTE! Where did your music go? I always enjoyed listening and discovered new songs for my iPod. Diane
Hi Janice. My music is off for right now. I had been posting a lot of videos and I don't want my readers to have to bother with turning off the music so they can view the videos. Sometimes it's more of a hindrance for some viewers. I won't leave it off forever. :-))

Did Beth, the Blue Ridge Blue Collar Girl see this sock monkey tree yet?
I hear you. I want to simplify also this year. I don't want any extra work. Though I love Christmas and had a ball doing a cowboy themed tree.
I love the monkeys! Too cute!
I have the little sock monkey that Coach had as a child. Maybe I should put it on my tree next year. What a great idea.
Simplify.....not me, although I did cut down just a bit on the Christmas decorations because I left a whole box up in the attic.
Love your tree, Di!
It definitely brought a smile to my face. I think it's adorable! Simplify? Me? LOL
