I've been having a few shoulder problems off and on for the past couple of months and this week it is 'killing me' to the point of requiring tons of Motrin and Extra Strength Tylenol and that's after taking a steamy hot shower to loosen it each morning. The extra strength Tylenol seems to make me sleepy so this means I've been taking a lot of naps.
With that in mind, I have decided to stay off my computer for a day or two or three until the situation improves. It's not so much from posting my blog entries, but I also spend a great deal of time commenting on other blogs as well as on Facebook, editing my photos... blah blah blah... Many of you know the keystrokes this all involves.
It's time to do the smart thing, apply a bit of heat and perhaps a few shoulder massages from Hubby and let my shoulder relax and heal before I end up in the doctor's office.
Be back soon as I can... Promise.

Oh, sad! Please be very careful and take care of yourself!
Well I can certainly relate, can't I? It's why I have a laptop. I can keep it on my lap and never have to raise my arm to type. I can't work on a desktop at all. Hope you feel better soon. I also hope you had a very nice Christmas!
I have a laptop but last week my shoulder was aching pretty bad too. I finally had to just walk away. The pain could be from sleeping on it wrong also, who knows.
Hopefully you'll be okay Di!
My husband saw my acupuncturist for his shoulder two times and she fixed him right up. I'd be glad to send you her contact information if you're interested. It really does work!
I have friends who swear by acupuncture. And also those who own horses!
Hope you heal quickly.
I've got bursitis on my right side and I'm right handed, been getting shots, taking prescription meds but not getting relief, I think I will try acupunture
Uck Ohhhh....!!

I once had bursitis, the most painful thing ever..Dr. gave me a cortizone shot and it instantly felt better. Never came back.
So hopefully you can get to Dr. and he will fix you right up.
I love your blog..so pretty..
Thanks for stopping by mine.
My husband has been plagued by shoulder problems....his doctor sent him to physical therapy, and that did wonders for him. Now whenever it kicks up, he starts doing the exercises they taught him, and he says it helps.
hope yours is better soon.
Hope your shoulder gets to feeling better soon. You are doing the smart thing.
I get it in my neck and elbow of all places when I spend too much time on the computer. Especially when I am working on embroidery designs. That requires very tedious mouse work.
Happy New Year.
So sorry about your shoulder! We'll miss ya, but look forward to seeing you again in 2010!
Hope you feel better soon. Be good to yourself! :) XX Lori
Feel better soon! Glad you're taking it easy for awhile, the main thing is to be well!

Hope your shoulder is feeling better!
Oh Di, sometimes rest is the only thing that helps and to stop reinjuring it!!! I hope you feel better!!! A happy and healthy New Year to you and your loved ones!! xoxo Cait
Definitely, rest up, Di! Hope you feel healthy and energetic soon.
Happy new year, girl!
I'm sure you've already thought of this, but when my husband has neck and shoulder issues, sometimes those "Icy Hot" patches help. We use the extra large one that's supposed to be used on your back, but it does seem to help. He just has to be sure and wear them for several days straight, around the clock, for them to work.
I really feel for ya!
