Did You Know

Did you know that if you buy a bag of Red Twisters/Licorice and after opening the bag it dries out after a couple of weeks, that if you wrap a few stalks/strings/twists/pieces of it in a damp paper towel and nuke it for 20 seconds that it once again becomes edible breakfast food?

Well, IT DOES!

Just thought you may have need of this information one day.

That's good to know but not information that will ever be useful to me cuz twizzlers don't last long enough at this house to ever become hard. Love those dang things~!

And yes, they are wonderful dunked in coffee. They add just the right amount of sweetness. Yum!

Oh my lord- what a cruel post today!!! Twizzlers is one of my all time favourite goodies and I can't buy them in Norway...ugh...the torture...well, glad you got to enjoy them- they'd never get the chance to dry out here...hehehe..

I honestly didn't know that :)

No I didn't know that but I'm sure my older daughter would find that to be very valuable information!

That it too funny! My husband was just making fun of me for eating that stuff. He thinks it tastes and looks like plastic!

I can't stand those things and I am stunned to learn that you eat them for breakfast! Gosh. Haven't you ever heard of pancakes?!? LOL.

I've got some red and black Twizzlers that have gotten hard. I'm going to the kitchen right now and zap them in the microwave. Thanks for the tip.

DANG!! I wish I'd known about this just YESTERDAY when I actually tossed a half bag of Red Vines because they were rock hard. Breakfast of Champions!

that's good to know, I love licorice.

I love red twizzlers but they don't love me. They give me the worst indigestion. I think it's God's way of saying.....people shouldn't eat red twisted rubber cherry flavored ropes even if they taste oh so great!!

I messed up my comment and had to start again. Nothing looks good tonight. An early morning colonoscopy which I have trying to prepare for all day makes everything look awful!
Di, thank you for your sweet comment. Made me feel good. Maybe the licorice will look better tomorrow!
Hugs...

I wish that worked for cupcakes.

Actually I would rather have the good old fashion black licorice! The only red that is even tolerable is the strawberry. The cherry tastes like old socks.
