So what do YOU do when it's too cold to go outdoors and take fabulous photos of the outside world around you?
I start taking photos of all the crap treasures around my house.... LMBO.
Weelllll, what am I supposed to do? The mountains and streams and ALL of Mother Nature in her glory is out there. NOT in here. And I am too kuh kuh cold to go out there. Please don't make me go out there.
I don't even want the mailman to deliver anything to our mailbox because then it calls for a scarf around my shoulders with a wool coat over the top, a furry hat with another scarf to tie it down over my ears and then a pair of gloves for my itsy, bitsy delicate fingers. I'm exhausted just in the preparation it takes to save myself from frost bite before I even step one toe out the door!! It's ridiculous and I am hoping that one day Hubby will see the error of his ways in moving us to this sufferin' succotash of a place.
Cold in the winter, hot in the summer, snakes in my yard, lady bugs that sneak into the attic and attack me while sitting at my desk minding my own business.. They wake up as soon as it hits 50 degrees outdoors and dive bomb me!! Sometimes I think I'm going to lose my mind.
Until we can live in some other state of this Union, aka the USA, that is normal and free of all the things that bug me, I will spend my winters indoors taking blurry photos of frogs and other five and dime knick-knacks in my house.
It's exhausting and I don't know why I even own this stupid frog!!

You own the frog to play this important role in on of your posts, right?
What do I do? What I do on most days - I stay in. Only when I feel that I CAN'Tgo out, I feel a little bit trapped in here. Otherwise I'm here voluntarily. You make me think now that I should want to go out more and get some of that fresh air. Well, maybe I'll open the balcoy door.
Take care, stay warm...
I have to agree with you about the frog.
My answer to it is to take pictures out the window with my zoom lens.....haha.
I HATE the north country in the winter.......from April to October, oh my, it is a lovely place to live, but winter just plain SUCKS.
I'm with you.
I think we all need second homes in Florida...wait, it's cold there too...out of ideas here...but it was a really cute post!!!
We have ladybug issues too. It totally changes my outlook about them! I finally braved the cold today and went outside for my Project365 today. ;0)
The faces on the little flutterby and grasshopper are darling! What I do when it is too cold to get the dang heck out of the house is get cranky. It isn't pretty. Reading here today is doing a wonderful job of getting rid of my cranky!
Oh we have the lady bugs too. They also make me cranky from the first day they show up in fall until we sweep the last dead little orange body off the front porch and hoover the last dead or alive little orange body out of the workshop.
We have 5 inches of snow, 40 mile an hour winds and negative teen temps coming tomorrow. I feel my cranky coming back.
That frog has himself some attitude!!
But Di, if you hadn't come here, you'd have never met me! LMAO.
It is very cold. I am ready for warmer weather!
Thanks for entering my drawing. I love your mosaic at the top of your blog. You must be a photographer!

See, that's the drawback of the horses. I have no choice. I HAVE to go out! I can't take it...
Love seeing all your neat things.
I hear ya. I packed a bunch of stuff away when I put Christmas out and decided it all just needed to stay packed away. It might see the night of day a year from now. The jury is still out.
