Who knew that A&W makes a root beer float that's bottled and sells at your local grocery store? Not Moi. Perhaps I've been living under a rock. Did anyone else know about this miracle drink at the grocer?? YUMMO for heaven sakes. Went great with my egg salad sandwich for lunch, or does that combination sort of gross you all out?
I sipped and snorked down the sandwich while browsing through my new Tracy Porter magazine that I signed up for online a few months ago. To be honest. I am truly disappointed in her clothing line. But I guess all pretty gals need their own line of clothing.
I'm obviously not in her target market though... Her phrases on the front cover beckon to young moms. Words like "Mom to 4 rascally boys".
and "girl next door' and "Tra-la-la".
I loved the fashions. They strike me as being somewhat like an updated hippie look. It's a comfortable, flower child, free style. It's totally me even though I don't have "four rascally boys' anywhere readily available to even be able to pretend that I am a young mom.
And besides... $176.00 for a sleeveless print blouse? And that's NOT including the belt. Good Lordy Gordy. I don't know any young moms that spend that kind of money on their clothes. Too bad for Tracy because if her prices were anywhere near what real women spend I'd be all over this stuff.
Oh well, who needs sleeveless blouses when there's still ten inches of snow on the ground any way?

I had no idea A&W came out with root beer float.... and no calories, right? I can't wait to try it. Yum! Yum on the egg salad sandwich too.

So, what do you think? About the issue of "Those Who Make Us Do Word Verification?"? I had one of my readers say that she got zapped with SPAM, when she turned it off, even though she had Comment Verification turned on. :-(
And some of your readers said they get SPAMed without out Word Ver. too.

So what are we to do? Can we "draw a line in the sand" and not go to those blogs, which have Word Ver.? Unless it's someone who really SAID they don't want to have that Setting, but HAVE to? -sigh- Any decisions?
So far I have begun to tell people, when I come on a new/pretty blog, and it has Word Ver. I say my issues with it. So far no one has come over to my blog and told me to mind my own business. So far! -grin-

OH NO... never draw lines in the sand!!! Some bloggers have been hit hard by spam for some reason. It may be a particular word or phrase that a spambot is searching for that is found on their blog. Who knows why some get hit and others don't If I were hit hard I would turn all my protective stuff on too.

I've been out of the blogging loop for a few days but now I'm getting caught up. I'm reading your other posts too.
Ten inches of snow?? Wow. it has been brutal cold and windy here today, but at least we don't have snow. Although, I'd love to sit in the house drinking root beer floats and looking at fashion magazines all day. Sounds rather heavenly.
Not snowing here today, Ginger.... the 10 inches of snow is leftover from last week and the week before.

IF I had that kind of money, which I do not, to spend on a blouse it would certainly not be spent on one that left my arms out there flapping in the breeze.. :(

I do love me a good Root Beer Float. That is one thing I had in common with my 93 year old father-in-law. We used to love to fix us up one and sit and drink and talk. I miss him.
