OOOOklahoma Where The Wind Comes Sweepin' Down The Plain

Hello Hello Hello.

Today I thought I would share with you some photos taken by a friend.  A few weeks ago she asked me what kind of camera I use as she was going to be buying her first DSLR.  I gave her a bit of feedback on what I use and what camera my sister uses and let her take it from there as to what she wanted to invest her money in.

Kolleen chose a Nikon d5000 and began sharing her photography with her Facebook friends within a matter of hours.  I think she made Oklahoma look pretty darned good in this amazing photo taken from her yard.

Kolleen grew up on a farm in Iowa and we attended the same high school together, oh gosh... about a hundred years ago, right Kolleen?

Needless to say, she still loves the country life and having the opportunity to have and raise a few farm animals.  They make great photo ops and show off the results of using a d5000, that's for sure!

Her favorite rooster, Ritchie, never looked quite so handsome strutting his stuff around the yard.  What chick wouldn't fall in love with a rooster who had this as his Facebook profile photo?

Great stuff, Kolleen.  I'm proud to show off your work any day of the week!

I'm not even on Facebook! But I so love roosters and chickens. Ritchie is beautiful and should strut his stuff!

I confess I am partial to Nikons. I think they give great color saturation and sharpness. But I use both a Canon and a Nikon.
