This blog is for fun and enlightenment. I try not to be too crass, too opinionated, too critical or too political as some of these things tend to drive new and old friends away. BUT, I do ask that you be open-minded and understanding in that we are all different and unique human beings who sometimes make the mistake of saying things before we think them through. Live well, laugh often, love much, and by all means, come back soon.

A Sassy Conscience

Friday was a crispy, blue sky day here in Roanoke.  These are the kind of winter days we all do our best to take advantage of this year since we've had more than our fair share of snow, although as you can see there's none falling from the sky or lying around on the ground either.  LOVE IT!

So I headed out to a favorite shop, Buy The Season.  It's quite a scoot through town but I enjoy it so much that it's worth the drive even if I'm just looking and not planning on a serious buy that day.  But today I had a plan.  A want.  A need.  Oh, alright... so I didn't need it.  But I reaaaallly wanted it.  And it WAS calling out my name after all.

No it wasn't!!
YES IT WAS.
Wasn't!!
WAS SO.
Not
WAS.

Get so tired of arguing with Conscience.  She drives me nutz!

Too late, Conscience.  He's going home with me and there's nothing you can do about it!  See, they even put the sold sign on him already.

Why don't you just go strap on your tennis shoes and go for a brisk walk...... you could stand to lose a few pounds you know.

See you Monday, my love!  I'll be back to get you.  I'm making Conscience stay home.

Congrats! Oh, how I miss the days of antique shopping back in Maryland... You got yourself a nice piece there. I love the sign, "You should have bought it when you saw it!" Ha!

I never shop with my conscience. She's way too clean. Well, I take that back. I always WARN her to stay home, but she does sometimes stow away in my purse, right inside my wallet. Which means that even though she's really clean, she plays dirty.

Gorgeous chest of drawers. Lucky dawg.
