A Fashion Extravaganza!

I went shopping today... for clothes... on clearance.... at Marshalls.

Big Mistake!

First up was a pretty blue, but too clingy top.  AND ruffles always disappoint me once on my body.

This one was scary.  I could see my flab right through it!!  And no... not going to wear a tank under it.  Two layers defeats the 'trying to stay cool in 90 degree plus temps'.  Definitely left this one on the rack!

I liked the looks of this number... the necklaces were connected so at least I'd never lose them while out on the town... but Hubs and I are never on the town and the chains would slap me in the face while jogging.

Checked this one off the list, for now at least.

Another one with a necklace and I'm sensing a jewelry department trend going on.

I'd buy it, but the first time anyone asks me when the baby is due... well, you just know I'd have to slap them.

I think I need a bigger bra.... or heavy duty straps for these guns of mine.

You can see the look on my face.
Complete disappointment, and why did I wear running pants for this fashion event?
WHY?

Paging Nurse Diane... Nurse Diane... could you come to the emergency room please?
This one doesn't need a necklace... it needs a stethoscope!
Oh, Honey.... let's play doctor!

Let's try removing the elastic belt.....
Umm, nope.
Now I just look like a fat nurse.

Who is this woman in the mirror!!!

I want my body back!!!

THAT'S IT!
*Puts own shirt back on*

No more clothes shopping for this gal til the pounds melt off.

At what temperature does fat melt?

I went to Marshall's last week and played What Not to Wear, too!! (except without the camera in the dressing room ... my, you're a brave woman). I saw, and passed on, many of the tops that you tried on. What was in my bag when I left the store, you ask? A white Calvin Klein t shirt. :)

You should have done what I did, skipped the clearance clothes entirely, head back to the kitchen stuff and stock up on grilling things! I got grill brushes, turners, and all other sorts of grilling stuff for way cheap, and no soul crushing trying on clothes!

You are cracking me up! You keep it so real and I love that about you!
I think you look pretty cute in the gray shirt, but you last outfit with the tshirt is you.

PS....you are not fat, you are beautiful.

I like to go clothes shopping about every three weeks...I never buy anything but it sure does give me motivation....when we always wear our comfy T-shirst we just don't realize what is going on...keep up the walking....

Those clothes for sure did not do your beautiful body justice.

I hate clothes shopping.

And the lighting in the dressing rooms? Scary.

I hear ya about the no more clothes shopping! I've said that to myself a zillion times...especially shopping for jeans! Anyway, I though the black one looked nice and you could always take the necklace off.

I think the running pants are a nice touch!

I'm with ya! No more shopping until at least 10 pounds comes off me.

I do have to say that mirrors in dressing rooms always make people look their worst. Except Talbots. Really. You always look good in a Talbots dressing room mirror!

I had to laugh....not at you but with you because everytime I go into a store looking for something new I go through the same thing. New trendy things look like sh... and I come out feeling so dumpy. Where is Stacy and Clinton when I need them.

Oh you're too funny. I never would have thought to bring my camera into the change room lest my lens crack.

If body fat melted in the heat I'd be a toothpick after this summer. I hate to go shopping because I remember when I was thin! No shopping for me until I loose 20 pounds. Let's hope these clothes will last a couple of years!

-->I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks like this when I'm trying on clothes. For the record, my favorite was the Nike shirt before I realized it was the one you wore to the store!
