Oh Gawd! Forgot to clean the glass door before taking this photo this morning... but I guess it just is what it is when you have a large breed of dog in the home. If I had a small breed of pup, well.... the smears would just be at lower eye level on the door I suppose. You dog owners I'm sure can relate.
*heads off to find the Windex*
As you can tell by the expression in Handsome's eyes he does not care for photography sessions. We've never had a rottweiler that does... they continually look away from the camera gazing off in any direction possible other than the eye of the lens. What's up with dogs anyway? Ours seems to be gadget phobes. I'm thinking this calls for a government study... well, heck, they study everything else, right?
Notice the firm grip I have on his leg? Mmm hmmm, because if I let go he'll walk away.
You can find photos of all of our rotties way down towards the bottom of my sidebar. Handsome is our 4th... Guess you could say we are sold on the breed.
It's an ugly, humid, miserable weather day so we are going indoors now to see if we can burn a few calories in front of a fan since we both are wearing black today.

i love the frog photos below.....i'm a total tomboy when it comes to frogs and snakes :)
and your hair looks just like mine with your baseball cap on :)
thank god for baseball caps....
At least your dog sits still while you take his picture. Our border collie cowers like the camera is going to hurt her. All of our pictures of her are of her crouching, looking like she's in big trouble...
Ah, he make not like the camera, but he is handsome! Yucky heat - I wish it would go away.

My kitties dirty my door too, but it's little itty bitty nose prints!
-->My dogs have always been camera shy too. Also, I have the same issue with our glass front door but we also have "paw prints" of a 3-year old boy too.
Our glass door has nose marks in three sizes~
Small-from Baby Girl, a 10 lb. jack mix
Medium-from Sadie-Louise, a 45 lb. Black and Tan
Extra large-from Zeke, our 150lb. Mastiff
Oh, and the very bottem...kitty nose prints.
Me and Windex are great friends!
One big smooch from Me to Handsome!

p.s. Sandra from Thistle Cove Farm left you a nice comment on my blog on the comments from her guest blog :)
I always forget to clean before a picture too. I just recently posted a macro photo of a placemat, complete with cat hair! Oh well..Handsome sure is a handsome fellow!
I have those same licks on my glass door, only lower from a Cocker Spaniel. lol
That is exactly how my glass door looks too. It is a losing battle.
Pet lovers definitely understand and accept. Handsom and his owner strike a nice pose. It's cooler here in VA, but still a/c weather.
Eddie has his very own lounge chair in front of the living room window....and that window needs its OWN bottle of Windex.
Missy was a sweet girl.....and Handsome is surely HANDSOME.
Hi Handsome! You are such a sweet baby. Thank you for letting your Mama post your picture! ~Lili
Handsome's face says it all --"Why is she doing this to me???"
We frequently 'sit' for our huge grand dogs. Then I spend the better part of two weeks cleaning doggie schtuzz off the windows!
What a great photo of you two..I love it! You named him well. He is very handsome indeed!
:)
Di, don't forget...he might be a little lonesome...just sayin' :)
Yeah, I know it's early..but...
I love you, Sweetie!

Great photo!! And I love how he is looking away. He is a sweetheart for sure. And you are looking pretty good yourself!!
I was out early again this AM. Kind of humid but not bad and no heat at that time of day (6AM) so that is cool!
I will be working indoors for the rest of the day as well

He certainly lives up to his name. Rotties are great dogs.
