OK, so I am with you on the being tired of hot... But I hate to say I can't wait for it to be over because... Fall in these parts last about, oh, 3 hours! Then it's winter for 7 months. So I will put up with the heat for a little longer so I can get some stuff done before snow flies!
Hi Di, It's been a Travelin Summer around Texas for me and not much Travelin in Blogland. I hope you'll forgive me for not visiting with you as often as I'd like. Just stopping by to say Howdy and Thank YOU for coming to CollectInTexas Gals Summer Travel Log!
Ya know, we have had a milder summer here in Texas than the rest of the country. We're used to the triple digits for summer, and this summer it's been mostly in the double digits. However, I'm always ready for fall....so bring it on!
I enjoyed out walk! It's always a shot in the arm. Always...so..when are we going treasure hunting? I went Saturday..didn't get much...but it's always so exciting to see what turns up. Books...the most beautiful hardbacks...my library is growing...and growing. I can now just go to the shelves and pick out a novel...it's wonderful..
Oh..yes..almost forgot the heat. Ours has not really hit hard yet. Well, once for about four days then it was over. It's coming though..and I D R E A D it sooo much. Beef stew is bubbling away for tonight. Does that tell you that it isn't all that hot? Well..of course ice tea with it. Lovin'hugs, Mona
We got a break from the hot, humid weather. After the rain stopped on Sunday, the temperature was only in the 70s with low humidity. Today is supposed to be similar. I hope it lasts for a while!

I hope a spell of cool air will arrive soon!
We got a break from the heat today...after the storms passed.
Lovely Sunday today in Iowa.

Yes, October........that is my favorite month of all.
Nooo.. I'll keep this hot summer, please!
I'm with Hilary, the longer the summer the better! Especially here in the northeast where summer is already so short.
That's a LOT of butterflies! Some of which I don't think I've seen before. My next door neighbor has the same bush but not that many butterflies.
My wife does the 10,000 steps thing but it is SO HOT now she is lucky to get in 6-7,000! C'mon October!!! W.C.C.
