Lions And Tigers And Chicken Hawks

Sometimes my mom calls me.
"Come in, Wowdy... Come inside now."

I jus sticks my head and chin in the air... wike dis... soz I look tough.

Then I sticks my nose frew da jungle... but jus a widdo, tiny bit so she can't see da inkspot under my nose.  And I twy really, really hard to blend into da jungle. I be invisibo.

If she don't see me I canz stay outside wonger.  She always makes me go inside so da chicken hawks and turkey vultures won't swoop down and carry me far, far away.

Mom sez, "No, Wowdy, that's impossible.  You are telling stories again".

I sez, "HEY!  Could too happen... Dad sayed so".

RAWR.... duz I wook tuff?
I will wip doz chicken hawks to pieces!!

I love the accent he has! So wonderful and so funny. Between you and Lali at mygreenvermont, I took the puppy plunge. You can meet Lily at my site and I am sympathizing with your sleepless nights. We are more city-fied here so I have a Starbucks two blocks away that is saving my life right now.

Speaking of hawks, we are not so city-fied that I don't have hawk fear. We have two Cooper's hawks nesting nearby so anyone with small dogs are smart to loom over their dogs and keep them leashed. Just Sunday I stood in the yard potty training the pup when one of the hawks swooped into the 90 year old Elm above me and picked off one of the squirrels! I didn't need Starbucks for at least a while after that!

BTW - you dropped by a few weeks ago and mentioned how I could widen my borders on my blog so my photos would fit better - just how do you do that!? Mine are hangin' over AGAIN! Thanks so much!

If he isn't just the cutest guy EVER!! I don't know how you manage to keep your hands off him. I'd be carrying him around with me 24/7 :-)

Danged ole chicken hawks. They spoil a guys good fun! He is adorable. Make me want a puppy but I swore after we lost our last two that I would no longer expose myself to that pain. Maybe someday when I retire and can be home to train it......
