The Lull

These moments, they seem like a lull in time to me.  The time as summer winds down *much to my liking* and the awaiting on autumn's arrival.

No more do I find beauty in the green of summer as the moths make breakfast, lunch and dinner of the once lush bushes just off the front porch only to leave brown remnants of what once were leaves clinging to the tiny branches, and I almost find it a bit depressing.

Oh, I understand that this is nature allowing her creatures to do their work in order that they may continue to thrive.

But I am longing for the vivid colors of autumn and until they arrive, I shall mourn.

"But the best is autumn.
It is mature, reasonable and serious, it glows moderately and not frivolously.
It cools down,
clears up,
makes you reasonable".

Not me. I'm clinging to summer until the snow flies! I do like autumn very much.. but I adore my summer. Lovely quote and images.

Hey Girl! I've been on a little hiatus and am just now catching up on your blog. Great photos but like you I am ready for all the fall foliage to show up. Gotta go read some more. Have a great weekend!

Beautiful narrative in pictures and words.;) I love summers endlessly thus when they end, a certain melancholy enters my being. However, i try to find a beauty in every season and posts like these sure aid in that.;)
Have a lovely weekend,

Not ready for what comes after! I am just going to enjoy every dang day of Autumn, got my Autumn flag out :)
