Whole Lotta Shaking Going On

As cute as our pups may be, trust me when I say
that there are no angels on 4 legs flapping their wings
around this house.

Izzy is cutting teeth and this is the season of chewing for any pup going through this.  I went to PetSmart yesterday for dog food and to buy her some new chewing toys and when I returned home found a throw pillow from the sofa in the backyard as well as
Hubby's blood pressure monitor case, back off of the monitor, three
AA batteries torn out, the tubing pulled off and brown dried up November grass on the velcro of the arm band.

I cleaned it all up the best I could and put it back together after installing new batteries.
Hubby didn't scream too loudly since I had scrubbed most of the dirt and debris off of it.

I'm not so sure that this fellow wasn't in on the escapade as well
and both of them cringed as they were very wordily reprimanded.
Izzy fled to the backyard on the hill and would not come in when I called her for dinner a half hour later, so I went out to get her.
Poor thing was cowering as far away from me as she could get and trembling like a leaf.
I scooped her into my arms and carried her into the house
assuring her that all would be okay, set her down in front of her dinner bowl and once again all was good in her world.

Her dad had a few words to say when he got home but I
insisted he go easy on her since she had already been put
through a verbal torture by me.

Rowdy just said, "ya ya ya..... been there, done that".

And today is a new day.
I'm going to clean house and waste time.

Sorry about the mess but they make me laugh with their escapades.

Aw,puppy love. Ain't it grand. Stuff is just stuff, and can be replaced, but there isn't any replacing what they give you.

That is exactly what my dogs do to each other...always an ear cleaning frenzy going on! They will growl at each other if one gets to close to where they have made a bed but when one of them wants to cuddle with the other because they are cold and they show their teeth to each other very soon that turns into tongues going to town on the other's ears! It's so funny and cute but kind of gross! Poor Izzy....sounds like she was traumatized by her scolding. I guess you just have to grit your teeth until she grows out of it. Hope that BP monitor still works!~hugs, Patti

I'm glad to hear my house isn't the only one hit by animal hijinx. They do keep us busy, don't they? Sweet video.

I bet your heart broke seeing Izzy "shakin in her boots" with you, the "screaming Blue Ridge gal", coming up the hill toward her! She was saying, "so sorry mom!"

Snickers is on my list for coal . . . not fun to have a dinner party planned and find a "tootsie roll nugget" under the table . . .

Naughty girl she was!!!
(She has better manners than that . . .!

You might want to buy him a new blood pressure monitor after all of that. Mine, at least, don't always work well after they've been bashed around or dropped or what-have-you.

Duke went through a phase when he was obsessed with my shoes but it was only my sandals. Bought a lot of flip flops that year

I remember when our bulldog puppy "Spike" chewed my daughters pedal on her bike...oh my and the table leg...oh yes they can do so much damage when they are teething. But then they look at you with those eyes...fur kids! Gotta love em!

Well of course she wouldn't come to you after you chewed her out. What I've learned is that unless you catch them in the act, hollering after the fact doesn't do any good...:)JP
