Don't Let Them Fool You

Our heavy winds have finally decided to give it a rest today,
but yesterday morning I snapped photos of the daffys along our walkway.

The winds were so heavy at that time that the daffys could not maintain a still position as I knelt down in front of them and said, "Say Cheese".
Don't let their sunny disposition fool you.
It Was Cold!

Hubby and I would have preferred to stay indoors, but he was scheduled to drive an hour away to visit a client in the morning and groceries were needed which meant I had to venture out in the afternoon.

By late afternoon the pups were antsy for a walk which Hubby took them on and while he was standing and speaking with some neighbors the wind took down a tree on another neighbor's lawn right before their very eyes.
He said I missed all of the excitement by not going along, but having already been out in the wind once during the day was enough for me!

He also learned that the tires on three neighbors' vehicles were slashed last week by vandals that for some reason chose our street as their target.  Catching them would be the best news we could all receive and EVERYONE is on high alert and looking out for them.

Our gnome is on the look-out 24-7 and says he will punish them to the full extent of the law once they are found...
because we are a determined neighborhood and we WILL find you whoever you are.

I can't believe your snow is GONE . . . Here one day, gone tomorrow! Great to see the "daffys"! Vandals, ugh! Don't leave your cars outside at night! I hope they are CAUGHT, and soon . . .

Lovely shots. Your daffys are a bit ahead of mine. And the look much stronger than mine do, too. Puny soil here, I think.

I do my grocery shopping during the week, too, to avoid the crowds.

Although yesterday I did some shopping at 7:30 a.m. Which was VERY early. No crowds at that hour, for sure!

I am envious of your flowers...won't be around her for about 2 months...

Pretty sad about the car tires...I would be so irked!

Love your daffodils. I sure hope the slashing vandals are caught. TIres are expensive.
Blessings,

The daffs look great, very sunny even if it's cold out! What's the matter with people? How does slashing tires sound like a good time??? Have a great Sunday:@)

Very pretty! Mine are just starting to show through the ground.

Pretty enough for a beauiful boutique. First signs spring is not far away. How horrible about vandals that entered your neighborhood.I know everyone is on alert for any strangers or activity. Not a good feeling for sure.

Its been a nice day here too, and I'm glad the wind had finally died down. Your daffodils are lovely!! Mine are just starting to peak out of the ground--We're late bloomers!

Hope all is quiet on your street--I don't like the thought of people lurking around causing mischief!

Oh, I don't like that feeling of having your property invaded like that. I mean, what is the point? I don't like feeling unsafe and having to protect our things. Ugh. I hope you catch those bandits!

We've got the wind today! EEEK!

wow, look at all those daffodils. It was pretty windy here Friday and yesterday too.
Hope you catch those vandals. What could someone possibly get out of destroying someone elses property

Isn't that cold wind just awful? It was still pretty windy and cold here today as well. Like you all I want to do is stay home.

We still have a few weeks before our daffs start blooming. In fact they're predicting snow for wednesday and thursday : (

Wow! What a change in scene from the snow a few days ago! After a very windy few days, we had calm breeze and sunny blue skies! I hate to hear about vandalism in neighborhoods...so unnecessary! I hope they find the little hoodlums!~Patti

Can't believe you have daffodils already!

Having just laid out nearly $800 for 2 tires on Godzilla I'd be tempted to shoot any little hoodlum who even looked like he was thinking about slashing a tire! One downside to owning a big, powerful SUV is hideously expensive tires. I won't even go into the shock at the gas pump these days.

We have one lonely daffodil blooming and I'm amazed it survived those winds! Yours are beautiful, and you have so many, enjoy! Glad the tree fell where no one was standing, and I hope you catch the tire slashers.

I hope they find the scumbag slashers.
We got your wind, but we've no flowers to knock over.

You're definitely ahead of us when it comes to spring. The daffodils look lovely. I hope your tire-slashers are found and stopped.

Hi Di! I was sort of stunned to hear about that sort of thing happening where you live. I guess I thought it was a California, near L.A. neighborhood where things like that happened.

At least you can lock your cars up in the garage. My poor little truck just sits out there in the driveway..but..here's the good thing. IF anyone slashes my tires..I need new ones anyway. Still, I'd like to drive to the place I want to go to have them put on. You know??

Another thing is the winds. That is something that plagues Southern California. High winds. ??? What the heck. Could L.A. be moving your way? :)

Your flowers are beautiful -- I hope they weathered the wind storm. That sounds rather scary with the tree falling. Yikes!
