It's been a huffin and puffin big bad wolf wind at the door the past couple of days.
I took this shot at sunset yesterday, which by the way was the only few minutes of the day that the sun was seen in our area.
going.... down....
Well, it WAS there for a moment but my camera wasn't there on time to capture it unfortunately, so you get this view of the neighbors' homes through the trees instead.
I'm still doing the 'eat differently' way of eating and making lots of those turkey sausage burgers. Not sick of them yet!
See, this morning I sliced one up along with a small piece of leftover chicken and some bell peppers,
added some egg whites and scrambled it up for breakfast.
Did you know that egg whites don't scramble as nicely when the yolk is not included?
Anyone know why?
Just curious.
But it tasted good.
Nope, not sitting around eating big fat Danish like some people I know!
Just kidding m.

I have always been intrigued with the way a house looks all lit up at night through the trees at night. Good to know you are okay, the wind sure kicked up a mess around here.
Your Turkey Sausage looks awesome and moist. Want to share your recipe? I made many and froze them. I love them but hubby said they are too dry. I ground turkey breast and added olive oil to it but it still does not work so I am left eating them. I love them...
Your shot of the sun thru the trees and the house in the woods is great. Very pretty scene. Your food looks yummy. Have a great weekend!
Hello Diane, everything looks delicious, I'll take one of each.
I do want to thank you for stopping by to say Hi. I always enjoy your blog, I just forget to say so.

Keep up your "springtime trip toward better eating" . . . You are inspiring. Can't do the turkey sausage though . . .
I still need to try that sausage! Crazy morning here North of Philly, two huge snow squalls moved through. It was blizzard like when I entered the grocery store, blue skies and sun when I left it, now quarter size snow flakes are falling again... Try to figure:@)
VERY windy here this morning too! But tomorrow we are supposed to be sunny at 50 :)
The turkey sausage burgers look yummy!
We had the wind along with thunderstorms and tornado warnings yesterday. Today is still windy.
Good for you for sticking to your improved eating plan. I need to do the same.
Nope, don't know why they won't scramble the same way but I'm suddenly starving!
0MPH gusts and light flurries blowing horizontally here but at least the sun's out!
That breakfast looks yummy to me! Not sure about the scrambled eggs question.
OK I confess it was me eating the big fat danish this morning. Now I feel guilty about not eating better when I've been wanting to shed some winter weight. It's ok though I'll just go have another piece of danish and I'll feel better
I'm proud of you for sticking with the diet!
Sounds like your weather pattern is the same as ours here in South Dakota (or vice versa) I just spent some time poking around your blog and enjoyed every minute. Love your spirit! Must be the Midwestern up-bringing ;) Love the many aging faces of Diane (at the bottom) what a beauty and from what I've read...inside and outside! Algona, IA stikes a chord with me! We took many trips there to buy plastercraft for my parents shop when I was young!(around 1977ish)Anyway, I'm your next follower. Have a great weekend! oh,and please stop by our blog! We're having a giveaway, you might win something from the Midwest!
I'm curious; why not the whole egg? It tastes so much better and is so good for you. Just wondering.
I hope your day has been an enjoyable one!! Our wind is still howling this evening--Where is it coming from?
I take one egg white and one egg and scramble it when I have breakfast. I think it scrambles up pretty well. I heard about how to do this in Weight Watchers. I use those Turkey Scrambles in the lunchmeat section. I usually add some red bell pepper and just a little cheese 2% shredded. Trying to watch the carbs! I am so glad the wind has subsided!~Patti
I am not the "m" you mention but I certainly could be where the "big fat danish's" are concerned. *sigh*
I have no clue as to why the egges don't scramble the same as they do when mixed with the yokes but it makes sense really when you realize you are not really scrambling the entire egg, just a part of it.
I wish I was eating as healthy as you because I certainly should be.
I'm telling you, the wind is just over the top out of control! My umbrella is blew off and had to catch the garbage cans today, so I know what you mean. FYI, I'm still fixin' the Coop turkey sausage burgers too. I think they're delicious. I make a batch at the beginning of the week and grab and go for my breakfast in the wee morning hours. Good job on the healthy eating.
And now that I've written on your school reunion blog, it seems I can now comment here..go figure!! Is this a high protein way of eating now Diane, Aimee (my daughter) and I have been doing that for a few months now, protein and veg but no carbohydrates except on the one free day a week, it's fantastic, we both feel so much lighter and healthier for it. Those turkey burgers look so good!
The turkey sausage photo? Very nicely composed, Di ~
this morning, having weighed myself and hit the mark I've been working toward, I got to the office and headed to the cafeteria (world class food, seriously) to get some breakfast .. I ended up with an egg white omelet topped off with a teaspoon of sharp tangy Feta cheese .. yum...
