Here at my house we do our best to shrug off those days, turn on every light, add ambiance by turning the flickering flames of the fireplace on and then use conversation to fill up our hearts and minds so that the gloom simply disappears. There's no room for it if you just don't let there be.

So that we will always have someone there to help us deflect those
grey months of the year.

I don't get there very often, so I don't know its official name, but there is a hazelnut-vanilla- caramel-latte-cappuccino type drink waiting for me at the Starbucks down in Ft Dodge. I'd hate to keep it waiting very long.

I think Valentines Day was invented to break up the gloomy days of winter. I always make a nice dinner and give everyone a little present on their plate. It's a nice pick-me-up.

Ok. Here is why I would love to win the Starbucks card. I have a dear and precious son-in-law..(the very best words to discribe how I feel about him)that is having a terrible time during these financial times. He gets up when it's dark and goes out to do jobs that he only asking half of what he used to get for them. When he hauls his equipment out and heads off a job, he does it gratefully!! When he isn't working he is looking, giving bids, looking and looking and hoping. We are all doing what we can and I have given him starbucks cards. It upsets him because he thinks I already do too much for them..and I don't!! This would not be from me. :) I could tell him I WON it!
Anyway, it would not be for me..so..does that sort of disqualify me?
Anyway, it's fun to take chances so I would get the thrill of the win! *giggle* That's my story.

"Marry Me" was the song playing as my husband walked my daughter down the aisle at her wedding in November. (The DJ tweaked it perfectly - everyone who knew the song was crying - or maybe we were just crying because we were happy...) I am a follower, I live in Texas, USA. If I won the $15 gift card I would use it to get my husband to try the new "BLONDE" Starbucks coffee. We always get Pike's Place when we visit Starbucks. This past Wednesday we stopped by and he got the usual and I tried the new Blonde. It was great, less acidy taste - same great caffeine I know and love so well.
