Rural Thursday

Nancy of A Rural Journal blog
and Lisa of Two Bears Farm
are having a blog hop.

It's a rural theme, and since it's Groundhog Day and since I live in rural suburbia, I kindly submit this photo of Mrs. Groundhog.
The grass is not this green right now, and I'm not sure Mrs. Groundhog even survived our deluge of rain event from last year.

But she was a little poser and I had to share her with you.
Living rurally we see quite a few rural critters all year round.

Hope you enjoy her smile today.
Happy  Groundhog Day from the countryside.

I hope she survived the rain deluge. HOpefully she's just hunkered down for the winter.

Thanks for linking up! :-)

If she were in Phoenix today she would see her shadow. So I guess she will be taking a little nap.

We don't have groundhogs here--but we have woodchucks! They don't pose as nice as your groundhog.

Groundhogs? GROUNDHOGS??! I wish!! Nope. No Groundhogs here..just skunks, kit fox, raccoons, squirrels, possums and rats. Groundhog Day..was the cutest movie. Did you see it. So..today is Groundhog day. Did she see her shadow..I wonder??
They are so cute.

I remember your video about the flooding -- seems like yesterday, really.

And your Mr. Groundhog photo is so cute and timely for today! Thanks so much for sharing at Rural Thursday, Di. I very much appreciate your joining in. :)

I know some people don't like the ground hogs, but I do...We have 2 resident ones here, and one hibernates in its den right in our front yard. The dogs check out every chance they get. Its been around since we moved here and I know it's the same one because it proudly displays a scar on its behind when I'm taking its picture! :-)

Hope all is well in your corner of VA!!

We have a groundhog that lives in the barn at our small farm property, but I didn't get out there to speak to him or her personally to find out their take on early spring. ;-) Yours is quite the poser and very cute. And wow, that was a lot of rain in your video...yikes!

No groundhog sightings here today, but there were more bums out than usual--sure sign Spring is coming. ;)

I highly doubt that a groundhog would have seen a shadow around here today.
