The lovely iris comes in an array of colors, but my favorites have to be the shades of purple, lavender and blue... perhaps even a bit of red thrown in the mix.
That would be known as burgundy.
Unrelated.....
There is a huge reason that the boxer breed is called Boxer. They absolutely use their front paws to slap at whatever it is they are playing with.

Saturday evening Hubby got down on the floor to play with Izzy, laughing, cajoling.... having a good old time. Izzy started boxing and Hubby played along when all of a sudden she smacked and scratched him just above his right eye. He said "ouch" and recovered for a moment.
BOOM!
Then came the knock out punch from Izzy and she blasted him again, but on the eyelid.

Some fancy footwork on her part and then a right hook to her dad's eye and he was down.
ding ding ding ding...
back to your corner, Izzy.

Purple, blue, lavender and burgundy are not only the colors of the lovely iris flower, but also of Hubby's eye.
You know the guys at his office are going to say the wife did it, but oh nooooo.... not I.
This was the work of a true boxer.
Izzy The One Two Knock Out Girl from Roanoke, VA did this.
Next time I should probably sell tickets to the Event.
Sorry, Honey.... I don't mean to make fun of you.
