Not The Home And Hearth

I've said it other years during the Holiday Season, and forgive me for calling it "Holiday" instead of "Christmas" as some of you purist folks do.... but lots of faiths are celebrating so in order to be nice and recognize everyone, I just say 'Holiday Season' because that's what this entire time of the year is.  Deal, okay?

Now, where was I?
Oh yes.

I've also admitted other years during the Holiday Season, that I am not a HUGE decorator around the house and this is, after all, not a home and hearth decorating blog, but I did take the time this year to fill up my empty cloche with these cutie pies.

It doesn't take skill to do this.
Just buy a few things and stuff them in there.

I purchased these chubby little snow characters at The Willow Pod in Daleville and then headed off to Michaels Arts and Crafts store where I purchased the snowy tree and the snow batting.
HERE she is on Facebook.

(I apologize for tearing your display apart, Michaels, and taking two trees that were not even priced with stickers and making your check-out clerk make up some pretend prices for me.)

You see.. it's all your fault for putting the cutest items together in a display and then not having any in packages.
Yep.
ALL YOUR FAULT!

I sat the cloche on the snow batting and cut out a circle, placed the tree and figurines atop the 'snow' and then covered with my cloche.
whala!
Looks cute sitting at my kitchen window.

Instant cloched snow scene...
I'm thinking it needs a sled in there too and just maybe a pretty ribbon tied around the knob at the top of the cloche.

It was easy as pie to do and could very well stay here year round just by changing out the scene inside.
A seasonal thingie.

I can count on delight and smiles, a bit of truth and wisdom when I visit you. I see a spring scene isitting in the window in your future . . .

I knew the decorating bug would catch you . . .

I love it! It looks so pretty and since it's snowmen it could stay out all winter! Now me thinks I need to buy a cloche...

I'm sure Michael's would sell you their employees' kidneys if they thought they could turn a buck doing so. Cute cloche!

The header is so cute and also the cloches. I dislike it when we have to be proper at this time of the year. I respect everyone's holiday celebrations and this time of the year is Christmas so I am not jumping on the band wagon for holiday time. Sorry Di. Scrouge Valerie

I just bought a cloche this year and I love sticking whatever under it. I used to work in a little gift shop...very similar to Willow Pod (I'm guessing) and I would stick all sorts of stuff under the cloches and whatever was under there would sell like *that*! Seriously. I'm not sure why, but it worked ALL The time.

I'm gonna drive out to visit you and Willow Pod...okay? 'Cuz I think that would be a fun outing...except it would take me a long time to get there and I would probably have to spend the night out in the fort in your yard.

Well I think you did a terrific job, non-decorator that you are. (pi-shaw)

Is that a word? But you know what I mean, right? :-)

Diane...I just put a little snowman in my cloche, but I used the fake snow...which looks GREAT! I have like 3 bags of the stuff from my crafting days...I'd love to send you some for your cloche if you want to use it in yours too. It looks like real snowflakes.

Send me your address if you want some.
