Bacon Under The Nose

We have had nothing but poopie weather recently.
Cold.
In the 40's, but I swear with this gusty weather it feels like it's in the 20's and I can barely stand to go for a walk with the pups even when all bundled up.  The wind eats through the layers at me.
It's making my entire body ache and Hubby feels the same way.
We both hobble around the house, hunched over to the medicine cabinet we go and toss down a couple of Motrin.
Doesn't do any good.
Dammit!  When will Tylenol be back on the market???

I haven't worn perfume or any fragrances in a couple of years since Hubby and I both seemed to be really sensitive to it in our later years and so I just let my Chanel No. 5 sit in the bathroom and decorate the counter.  No squirts.  Just decor.
BUT,
I've been remembering the smell of CK One and somewhere recently caught a whiff of it as someone passed by me, so....
I came home with a bottle of it and am enjoying smelling like a girly girl once again.
So far neither of us have suffered any sensitivity to it.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
No sneezing.

Hubby hasn't commented on it, but he's so stopped up from a cold that he couldn't smell bacon burning if it was right under his nose.

Anyway, I've been grumbling each time there is a reason to leave the house.
I'm getting very good at being a Grinch.
So don't mess with me makers of Tylenol,  get your product fixed and back on store shelves!
It's all I want for Christmas.

*Chanel didn't pay me, CK One didn't pay me, Motrin and Tylenol didn't pay me, and the bacon company didn't pay me to mention them in this post either.*

Omg this post is so funny. Yes, cold weather makes my entire body cry too. I love it because I can bring out my warm sweaters but my body just aches.

From a nurse's point of view....Motrin and Alleve are better for achy, arthritic, aging bones....because it is an anti inflammatory.......
Tylenol is simply a pain pill and so does little really, to address the cause.
just sayin

I have had chemical allergies for years. Not fun! Luckily a lot of places here; work, schools, doctor offices have gone scent free. At least in Saskatchewan anyways.

I hope your weather straightens out and that you have a beautiful holiday season!

Tylenol is off the shelves? So is my Benedryl Severe, which worked great on sinus allergy headaches. :-(

I have always been sensitive to colognes, perfumes, but CKone is a good fragrance.

I take Advil for my aches because, as Hilary said, it's an anti-inflammatory. But hey, whatever works! Our cold, windy, rainy weather has not been helping me either.
I was just thinking the other day, I haven't worn any fragrance in a few years. I'm not sure the animals would recognize my smell if I did.
Hope BIL feels better soon.

Sounds like we are having pretty much the same weather - you have my sympathies. I couldn't wear perfume for the first 40 some odd years of my life because of migraines - now that I'm through menopause, the headaches are gone and I can... :) Go figure!! Hope you get your Tylenol soon.

I'm finding that I'm getting more and more sensitive to scents as I get older too.

I have scads of work to do outside but I can't make myself do it. I wake up more tired than when I went to bed. I also must do something with my hands while sleeping because my fingers don't work in the morning. I hate getting old.

You look adorable!! I had no idea Tylenol was off the shelves...what now? Just wanted to come on by and wish you and yours a Merry Merry Christmas!!!

I know exactly how you feel. This weather just makes me feel old, achy and tired.
I've had problems at work with women who come in with really strong perfume. I start coughing and can't stop

Much identification with the cold!!! Here in my apt. the wind was whipping so strongly that it was blowing the curtain away from the window in the bedroom - which then (of course) had the curtain unfurl & cover up the baseboard heating, which (naturally!) made the bedroom an icebox ;- I had to roll up the curtain and stick dirty laundry t-shirts in & on the crevices of the old wooden window just to warm it up in there! Sigh... winter!

What Lynne said about the "North" is absolutely right. PH won't visit Maine past August!
About Tylenol. Both of us take Tylenol with Codine and sleep like babies and NO pain! S'wonderful!
We don't get it at the store, of course, but instead our doctors give us perscriptions. Honest, works like a charm. Whatever is wrong with Tylenol apparently the pharmacy hasn't heard. ??? Odd, huh?

Not allergic to anything I guess. Love all sorts of perfumes...well..some are not so good. I haven't tried the one you mention. I stick pretty much to Estee Lauder's Beautiful or Youth Dew. :)

My mom used to take Tylenol religiously for her back issues and misses it as well. I've never taken it, but use an aspirin or two if I have a headache or back pain.

I love perfume but am also a bit sensitive to it. Aw, the benefits of old age! :)

I always buy the store brand of acetominiphen. You get the same drug for less money. I buy the giant bottles at Sam's club.
It is only in the 20's the last couple of days with winds blowing quite strong, so it is darn cold here. I know what you mean about it cutting through you.
I miss perfume as I cannot tolerate any scent due to my asthma.
