Last evening Rowdy was insistent about being on his human dad's lap.
We couldn't figure it out since Rowdy and Izzy now own the family room sofa and it is always covered by a blanket for them to snuggle on and to keep dirt and grime from their paws and fur off the fabric.
Hubby would put Rowdy down after a good snuggle and Rowdy would walk over to the sofa, sniff a bit and then walk back over to Hubby and insist on being let back up onto his lap in the recliner.
Even a glass of wine didn't help.
JUST KIDDING!
Rowdy does not partake.
I finally walked over to the sofa to check it out since refusing to lay there is not like Rowdy. He LOVES his sofa.
The blanket you see here is a freshly laundered one... even though the one he would not lie on had been washed just two days prior.
Upon inspection I noticed two small spots of blood on the blanket, most likely due to one of them having scratched a paw when outside playing with one another or stepping on a stick.. who knows with these two active pups.
Once I changed the blanket Rowdy was happy to once again sprawl on the sofa and snooze as we watched TV. We once had a rottweiler, Max, who was also very particular about the condition of his blanket......
The things ya gotta do as a human to keep them happy.....SHEESH!

LOLOL... that is hilarious!... and what a sweet pup. Kinda big for the lap thing though, I give your husband credit.
better view of watching tv? Smokey had 2 have stitches once again this year for a cut drivers side rear pad - man & WOMANS best friend!

Sioux would love to get on Daddy's lap, but Daddy feels that spoiling the child.

When Harry is scared or in trouble, he likes to get up in my lap. Actually he covers my entire body.
Dogs do have a way of communicating what they want and they are probably thinking we are stupid humans for not recognizing it more quickly. Cute story.

Well....you know....sometimes we all just need some lap time. Especially when it is cold and the world is a little scary.

he looks like he might be as big as hubby. This is what I was trying to ask you about...making videos and putting music..I believe I found the source for making these..No way can I afford that...
