A Bride For Stumpy?

 OH, hello....
You all know this fellow so I guess there is no need for introductions to STUMPY!!!

Stumpy lives riiiigggght next door to us.
Next to the willow tree.

Stumpy used to be a nice tall tree but for some reason his owner did not take to him very well....

So, now he lives at the end of their lane and dons the clothing or look of the season.  I think this season perhaps he's been a drinking a bit too heartily because those eyes are red and just a popping out of his sockets.

Now that the dainty little willow tree has gone down (a month ago due to a storm) we are wondering if Stumpy will have a new friend.

Could this be the makings of a Stumpette?
Stumpy's bride-to-be perhaps?

Time will tell,
just as soon as the neighbor locates his chainsaw.

That is too cute! What a way to do something with those leftover stumps that hang around. I would love to do that but we'd have a dozen or more stumpy's on our property :O

What a great post, I hope Stumpy gets a bride! My 6-year-old daughter has a fascination with tree stumps (I have no idea where this is coming from) and on a recent outing in the park she got on a stump with a twig in hand and started making a speech about how special stumps were and how she was the king (yes king) of the stumps. It was hilarious! Thanks for following my blog, I am your newest follower too! Glad to know a VA blogger, my parents live in Chesapeake VA and we go for visits several times a year! XO, Jill

Here comes the stumpette, all dressed in twigs.

Are you going to the wedding?

Oh my . . . not another . . . suggest going natural rather than "dressed up stumps!"
But then . . . what would we talk about . . .

To quote the Ren and Stimpy cartoons, "It's LO-0G, it's LO-OG. It's big, it's heavy it's wood! It's lo-og, it's lo-og, it's better than bad, it's GOOD. Stumpy and Log should be great pals!
