Kind Of Like Santa Claus

Awoke around 7:30 this morning to a 3 1/2 - 4 inch snowfall which was not a complete surprise since we could feel it coming in the air yesterday as we walked the pups.

 Yes..
You can feel it when it's going to snow.
It feels damper,
and
colder,

and within a matter of hours there it is on the ground when you awake.
It's kind of like Santa Claus since it comes silently during the night and makes you feel all wide-eyed and wonderland-ish come morning.

It's slick outside on the roadways so be careful
AND
I hope all you folks in the New England states will take care and stay safe since your snow will be LOTS deeper than ours.

I do love that anticipation of snowfall. ANd around here, it takes a LOT of snow to really upset our daily routine.

Nemo is making a show of it, we won't know what he's got with him until later tonight.

Stay warm!

Just like Santa Claus around here too. Santa brought at least 15 inches of snow to top off the white stuff we had already.

A blue sky, sunny day, white wonderland in Michigan!

I wouldn't describe the feeling I get when I wake up to see snow on the ground as wide-eyed and wonderland-ish. It's more like a brain freeze feeling.

Yes, its true you can feel the snow coming.. when I was a child my grandparents and parents would always say look at the clouds, notice the air how it feels different and stand quiet and take in a deep breath and smell.. Its always held true to me, but who knows maybe its just my imagination... :) and if so I still love what I was taught.. No snow here in Ky, thank goodness, so I hope it melts soon for you.. although, it is beautiful for the first day or so.. Stay warm..
