Oh Rats

I snapped these photo yesterday after viewing this house and telling our realtor to make an offer on it for us.

Then we got home and after checking into things further
discovered that this house has no fiberoptic internet service like we now have.  It has a dish for it's service and that simply won't work for Hubby's business files.
It's way too slooooooow.

And so we contacted the realtor and told her to cancel making the offer.

It had awesome views out every window and complete privacy in the backyard at the top of a mountain.

There was only one other house.  Only one neighbor.
We were thrilled with the house and the location.

 View out family room window.

 View out master bedroom window.

 View out master bathroom.

Great floor plan, but alas.... due to the location out in the boondocks, the internet service just is not up to par and won't be anytime soon.

Onward and upward with our search for a home.
Will see two more today.

Oh what a house!!!
Coming from satellite service, you guys made the right choice. It's fickle and slower than molasses.

Oh my gosh what a beautiful home. Are you sure you cannot get some high speed internet connection somehow? Satelite maybe. Bummer. Valerie

Not sure what you're looking for exactly, and I don't have your email address. However, my daughter lives in Ashley Plantation. They hope to put their house on the market next month. If you're interested in the address so you can drive by, just reply and I'll send it to you.

Oh dear. How heartbreaking. Dang fiberoptics people need to get a move on! We have the same problem here, though, so I understand! Good luck today!

Too bad it had those cool views. My BIL has a gorgeous house where no cell phone works. It makes me crazy.

Internet service down there (if out in the mountains) sucked and I hated it!! It was horrible when I worked from home and then once I retired I really despised it!! Some of my friends at the Lake talked about a provider in Salem but even they didn't cover our area!...:)JP

House looks lovely but understand the internet need. It would be necessary for us too . . . (for many of us, I am sure!)

Darn . . . I liked this one . . . location looks stunning!

My internet provider launched a new satellite and I have fairly fast service now using the new Gen4 satellite. Good luck tomorrow on your search. I'm anxious to see which home you choose. This is just like House Hunters!
